Ayurvedic Festival in Nagpur
Nagpur: The Vidarbha Regional Ayurved Committee has decided to hold an 'Ayurved festival' in city from October 7 to 9. The festival will be funded by the ministry of Ayush.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and union surface transport minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the festival.
The festival is an effort to popularize ayurved in the general public and creating awareness about this science in the common people. The festival will also include a big medicine exhibition, free diagnostic camp, awareness rally, panchkarma, yogasanas. A symposium will be held on 'Controlling diabetes through Ayurveda' and will have a teacher-student meet.
The decision regarding the festival was taken at the general meeting of the committee. Dr Ramkrishna Chhangani, Dr Govind Prasad, Dr Suresh Khandelwal, Dr Archana Dachewar, Dr Mohan Yawale, Dr Madhusudan Gupta from the committee were present on the occasion.
